Manage participant relationships and access
A participant relationship connects the right people and their authorised records. It is separate from an invitation, a service agreement and permission for a supporter to act.
Add someone safely
- Check the participant's preferred email and whether they will use the account themselves or need an authorised representative.
- Follow Invite a participant. Check whether the invitation is pending or accepted.
- Open the participant record and check its current relationship status.
- Prepare the service agreement. Wait for both required signatures before booking work against it.
An email delivery request does not mean the participant accepted. A participant accepting an invitation does not sign a service agreement automatically.
Keep the records useful
Open the participant from the people/participant entry available on your platform. Check their contact details, agreement, plan information and documents. Use only the corrections offered for the current record; identity fields can require support rather than direct editing.
When uploading a plan, check the person and file first. A participant's consent to read a plan is separate from uploading it. Review any extracted information before using it. See Documents and the participant's plan and budget guide.
Changes to support or access
Use the agreement's variation or ending workflow when the terms or relationship change. Read the effective date, consequences and any confirmation. Do not overwrite a signed agreement to remove its history.
A family member is not automatically a nominee. Access and signing authority depend on the appointment and permissions shown. Ask the participant or authorised representative to review supporters and nominees.
If a relationship disappears, check the active account and current permissions before inviting the person again. Do not create a duplicate to get around an access refusal. Contact support with the screen and request reference, without private care content.
