ThimbleCare help

Choose your messages, notifications and accessibility settings

Sign-in codes, important record messages, optional tips and phone notifications serve different purposes. You can make your own choices without buying a worker subscription.

Optional email and text updates

  1. Open Settings and Email and text preferences, or open the preferences page.
  2. Sign in as yourself if the browser asks. Wait for your saved choices to load.
  3. Add or check the phone number if you want text updates. Use your country code when needed.
  4. Choose email updates, text updates, both or neither.
  5. Select Save my choices and wait for confirmation. Reopen the page to check the saved result if you are unsure.

Both choices start off. A phone number by itself is not consent. Text delivery must be enabled before texts can be sent; a saved preference does not confirm delivery. Your choices do not change a worker's or supporter's preferences.

Stop optional updates

Use the private unsubscribe link in the message and confirm the choice on that page, or change your signed-in preferences. Opening an unsubscribe page alone does not turn updates off. The message link applies to its own email or text channel.

Phone notifications

Review the notification categories offered in Settings. Your phone must also allow notifications for ThimbleCare. Check the device settings if alerts are missing. Read the app's quiet-hours setting and time zone where offered. An alert is a prompt to open the current record, rather than proof of its final status.

Make the screen easier to read

Use the available text-size, contrast, reduced-motion and appearance controls. Your phone or browser also has accessibility settings. Help pages can be enlarged, videos have captions and transcripts, and demonstrations can be used with a keyboard.
